At Best Fishing Sales Shop, we stand behind our premium fishing gear just like we stand by our customers at the water’s edge. While we carefully select every bass fly, Euro nymph reel, and fishing outfit in our collection, we understand that sometimes a return or exchange is needed.
Our Return Policy
You may return most unused items in their original condition within 15 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. Please note:
- All returned items must be unused, in original packaging with all tags attached
- Proof of purchase is required
- Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error
Non-Returnable Items
For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on:
- Flies (including bass flies, dry flies, mayfly nymphs, and all other fly categories)
- Used or damaged equipment
- Custom or special order items
How to Return an Item
Follow these simple steps to return your fishing gear:
- Contact Us within 15 days of receiving your order at [email protected] with your order number and reason for return
- Wait for Approval – We’ll email you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and instructions
- Package Your Item securely in the original packaging
- Ship Your Return to our Portland address (provided with your RMA) using a trackable shipping service
Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect your return:
- Refunds will be processed within 3-5 business days
- Your refund will be credited to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
- Shipping costs are non-refundable
- Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund
Exchange Process
Want to exchange for a different rod, reel, or fishing outfit?
- Follow the same return process above
- Include a note specifying the replacement item you’d like
- We’ll process your exchange once the return is received
- You’ll be responsible for any price difference and additional shipping costs
Return Shipping
For your convenience, we recommend using:
- DHL or FedEx for faster returns (typically 3-5 business days to our Portland location)
- Be sure to get a tracking number – we can’t be responsible for lost return packages
Damaged or Defective Items
If your fishing gear arrives damaged or defective:
- Contact us immediately at [email protected]
- Include photos of the damage and packaging
- We’ll arrange for a replacement or refund and cover return shipping costs
